Blazzen's Next Gen Madden 25 Sliders

How To Load them: Enter the sliders from the MAIN MENU, NOT while in CFM, and save them. Change difficulty to All-Pro then load the CPU/USER settings from the saved file. This will allow you to have the custom settings but the difficulty will still say All-Pro. Go into CFM change and difficulty to All-Pro then load the sliders into your CFM. Don't make any changes in that mode. It messes things up for some reason.

Overview: I play with the Carolina Panthers who are a defensive oriented team and can struggle offensively. I wanted my sliders to reflect this in the games I play. The defense should be strong (but not too strong) and the offense should have some trouble moving the ball at times. One of the biggest struggles I've had is I'm able to run the ball too easy with the Panthers even with run blocking at 0. If I raised tackle or lowered fumble to make running harder I would fumble the ball too often. It took a while to find a happy medium. With this said, I also want realistic stats, not too many turnovers AND competitive close games. After countless hours of testing and the help from the entire slider community I've complied sliders that I feel accomplish this.

CPU accuracy at 50 is important. I find at lower accuracies that the CPU will not throw the ball downfield but instead do nothing but underneath passes. At 50 CPU accuracy I still keep the CPU within reasonable completion percentage because they start throwing downfield more and it's harder to complete the downfield passes. If you struggle stopping the CPU passing attack I would either raise pass reaction/coverage to increase coverage (you'll risk too many ints though) or I would lower CPU pass block to 50 so your pass rush can get home faster (you'll risk too many sacks though). Sliders are definitely a balancing act and they have to be fine tuned to each individual's playstyle to be able to get realistic stats while also getting fun competitive games.

I keep my penalty sliders relatively high because I don't see enough penalties otherwise. I find that most Penalties called are on the offense and this helps keeps the scores from getting out of hand. Occasionally, a roughing the passer or facemask call will boost the offensive drive. I feel with these settings they aren't out of hand but I'm starting to see more penalties called.

I call all of my own defensive plays. I mainly sit in a Base Cover 3, the same as the real life Panthers, and occasionally I'll blitz. If I'm unable to stop the CPU run in my base Cover 3 I will occasionally run blitz. I usually play as the MLB since they're the "quarterbacks" of the defense. Playing as the D-Line leads to too many sacks I find. I employ the "no switch" rule on defense. On offense I typically pick between the 3 ask Madden plays. I especially try to limit how many RB screen passes I do because I find the CPU has trouble defending it. In true Riverboat Ron spirit, I'll go for it on 4th and 1 if I feel like it's a call Riverboat Ron would make, but for the most part I play SIM and conservatively. The only time I may switch players on offense is taking control of the WR on a deep jump ball.

Re: Blazzen's Next Gen Madden 25 Sliders

Here are the results from the first game I played. The Seahawks leaned heavily on Lynch and he ran well. Russel Wilson was efficient but wasn't able to complete many downfield passes and one of them was picked by Josh Norman. The Panthers zone held up long enough for the pass rush to get to Wilson resulting in several coverage sacks. The Panthers ran the ball well and mixed in some timely play action passes to keep Seattle off balance. It was a close game throughout but the Panthers pulled it out in the end.

Re: Blazzen's Next Gen Madden 25 Sliders

Below are the results from the second game I played.

This was a low scoring affair until the 4th quarter. The game was tied 3-3 at the half with very little offense in the first half. The Panthers were able to take the ball down the field in the third quarter capped off by a Cam Newton run on a read option where the defensive end pinched in. Cam kept the ball and went to the sideline where a Brandon LaFell pancake block sprung him for the TD. Shortly after that the Panthers drove down the field again but Cam Newton threw a cost interception returned 86 yards for a touchdown. The Panthers got the ball back and went 3 and out quickly. The Bills gave the ball to their spell HB Donald Brown who had several great runs capped off by a 41 yard touchdown. The Panthers held the Bill's rushing attack in check all game but were tired out once the fresh Brown came off the bench. The Panthers did have a chance to win the game with 1 minute left and no time outs they drove into the Bills red zone but a sack ended the game. Great game, very exciting!

Re: Blazzen's Next Gen Madden 25 Sliders

I'm happy after the first two games. The CPU leaned on their rushing attack quite a bit which I'd expect that from Buffalo. Russel Wilson was trying to push the ball downfield but the Panthers D-Line kept getting to him. I lowered the pass defense to 35/0/35 from 50/0/50 and I got two games where the CPU didn't throw the ball as well LOL. I did help with too many INTS though and the completion percentages were within reason especially considering the low yardage - they were mostly taking what the defense was giving them which against cover 3 is underneath passes. I'm playing against the Giants next and then the Cardinals, two teams who throw the ball a LOT, so I expect this to even out over the next two games.

Re: Blazzen's Next Gen Madden 25 Sliders

Is your team racking up the sack totals, with CPU QB reluctant to get rid of the ball? I have read on the forums that offensive PI set to 1 helps tis issue. I played a full season and my LE had 38 sacks.

Sorry I meant to say intentional grounding should be set to 1

I am getting a fair number of sacks. At the same time the Panthers led the league in sacks with 60 this year (3.75/game). 3 of the 4 starting D lineman are rated over 90. I didn't know that lowering intentional grounding would help with that though. That's good advice and I'll definitely use it if my sack total gets too high.

Re: Blazzen's Next Gen Madden 25 Sliders

Third game of the season is below. I knew I could count on the Giants to even out my pass defense vs. rush defense. A lot of Eli's completions were in the second half of the 4th quarter when I was up 17 points sitting in cover 4. Just trying to keep the ball in the middle of the field and everything in front of me to run down the clock.

The Giants got the game within 10 points at the start of the 4th quarter and I started to get worried. They were blitzing heavily and I had trouble getting any passes off since my recievers were getting jammed at the line. I started pounding the ball with Stewart and wore their defense down, went down the field and scored a TD to go up 17 and pretty much ice the game.

Despite dropping back 48 times I only sacked Eli Manning three times, all in the first quarter. That gives me 13 sacks in 3 games (4.33/game) which isn't too far off from what the real Panthers did this year.

I like how these sliders are playing. I go up against the Cardinals next. I expect it to be a similar game as the Giants game with lots of passing from the Cardinals.
