Do penalty sliders affect gameplay

Do they affect gameplay at all or just how often penalties are called? I want to change the penalties on my sliders but I'm afraid it will mess it up

The official word from Tiburon for the past several years - at least since penalties were rebuilt for Madden NFL 15 - is that penalty sliders only affect penalties.

I would suggest making your own observations based on the changes you make and adjust as you see fit.

Pretty much this. I think they do. Others think they do not. You're going have to try it out. I've personally went back to default penalties

You mean do they effect what a player will or can do? Will penalty sliders change what the say Run Blocking slider does?

I have no idea.

I do know that higher penalty sliders will give you a more realistic game, at default 50 there are few if any penalties called.

Ive had good success with my sliders and Flazkos penalty sliders, because there are in alot of games today game changing penalties that occur.

On the average, there are 12 to 13 football penalties called in a NFL game. If I'm in the ballpark with default sliders, I'm a happy camper, so, the penalties stay at default for me.
