[quote=Charizard;2050681432]Increase the coverage and defensive pass rush sliders to compensate. 0 is the best. IDK why people use 95 and above as fast players will become useless. There has to be a separation between fast and slow players otherwise everyone would be at the same speed and that’s not realistic.

where is this defensive pass rush slider that you speak of?

Re: Madden NFL 23 Patch #3 Available – Patch Notes

Well we've gotten way off topic but let me make one last point about the speed threshold. I played my next season game and increased it to 90 after being at 25. It didn't feel that much different. The only real noticeable difference was overall gameplay felt a little slower and weighted to me. Not as much "pinball" tackles with guys bouncing everywhere and things played out a more methodical pace. Previous games felt more arcadish.

I could not hit any deep passes....coverage was always tight but I did hit a decent amount o crossers where my guys had several steps.

The only other thing was my kick returns felt better....I still didn't break any big ones but it felt like I had more room to run after catching before getting swarmed. Same thing on punts.

It was just one game but it felt pretty good. Going from 25 to 90 did not have as huge of an effects as I thought it would. I'd always just thought of it as a fix for getting caught by slower players. I never thought it could actually open up gameplay a little.

For another test I went into practice and ran 5 off tackle plays with Chubb. At 25,Each time he'd hit the hole and get about 5 yds before the LBs would be closing in on him. At 90, 3 out of 4 times he got 7-8 yds before LBs were there. Weird but that's how it played out.

I need to do more testing but it felt pretty good!

Thanks.

My mistake. Defense reaction time

What's the concensus about offline versus cloud franchise now after the patch? Unsure of which one to start.

Wow. How jacked is this game that one argument can be 0 and the other can be 90? Everyone makes great points and it’s still hard to find a consensus.

I’ve been playing around with this a bit and moved threshold up to 70 I think. I did enjoy the way the game felt. The problem is the when the CPU mirrors routes to well. It’s hard to create separation when they know every move your receiver is going to make.

It's not so much the game as it is people's expectations of the sport. Those arguing for 90 are saying that NFL players are such phenomenal athletes (and they are) that the speed difference is much smaller than the average person would see. Those arguing for 0 want their top end players to feel like top end players, and 98/99 speed to mean more than it does.

For those defending this game, I honestly can't understand y'all. Have we lowered the bar tot he point where a game has mostly all broken modes and we're telling others they should accept this?

People spent $70 on this game. NONE OF THE MODES WORK. I get there are some certain workarounds but is that what you want out of your sports games in 2023?

Don't let EA off the hook for this crap. Expect more.

Who is defending EA, exactly? Yeah the game is buggy and it sucks that it is taking so long to be fixed. Not sure what you want people here to do? Whining on Twitter isn't going to make them work any faster.

If you just want to start an "EA SUCKS GUYS!" bandwagon on here, by all means. We've got around a million of them, probably room to squeeze one more in there.
