Free Agency

Has free agency been fixed where players like Burrow, Herbert, Bosa, and Jefferson aren't becoming free agents and signing with their teams? I like a realistic franchise and no way would those players hit free agency.

I had an offseason last night with Herbert, Tua, Hurts, Mike Evans, Ceedee Lamb headlining the free agency. While I'm not too thrilled about it, I look at it as the NFL is becoming less predictable so it's not too farfetched to thing that could be the reality. Either way, the Madden portion of free agency is still a video game where anything could still happen.

I just went into season 2 off-season and Herbert was the only QB there. Everything else looked reasonable. There were a couple other high rated FAs but I could make a case for them all being there.

I started with the panthers in week 10. free agency seemed to play out good. Herbert is still on the chargers season 2 but was franchise tagged.

People saying it's a constant thing don't actually play the game.


I very rarely see any decent players hit FA. Best QB I've seen in the last month is probably Jalen Hurts. I see Mike Evans at WR, but the game's logic isn't going to have teams overpay for a 33-year old WR, even a 91 overall one.

Yea, he stays on the Chargers for 2 years then hits free agency every time because the Chargers cap situation sucks. He is the only player that is guaranteed to hit free agency. Everyone else I've noticed as far as star players may be re-signed.

This is the game. All these stars and name brands hit free agency so they have a chance for you to sign them. Besides players aren't team loyal anymore. They all want the next biggest buck. Madden makes it so you can have these stars on your squad. That's all.
You don't want a certain player on another team or to hit FA, do all team control or go to that team and coach and sign them long term and then retire from that team. But the game is going to make it so you have a chance to sign big names.

I only do single team, but in offseason before free agency, I go assign myself to a team if I don't think a certain player should leave a certain team and sign them. Is it dumb, is it time consuming, should I have to, should the game already do it......
