7:1 passing is back, when I had it to 3:1 which I was fine with. Logic is worse now. Passing was open to much as it was before the patch, now not only is it more open, but RB are becoming primary receivers. Couldnt just leave well enough alone. If you want to improve the game with patches. Dont make every defense a strong run defense where the cpu gets stopped and then abandons the run and throws 60x. TEAMS DONT DO THAT! A game here and there, yes. Not every f@#$ing week.
Sure, tighten up coverage with sliders, result, even more HB receptions and sacks, no overall improvement. Loosen run with sliders. Ok, now they still dont run and give you 3ish "Big" runs to give you "yards" Change traits, edit rosters, do this, do that, hold controller with left hand upside down, backwards to load sliders, cross feet when loading cfm. You shouldnt have to jump through hoops to play this game. Slightly exaggerating I know, but slightly. I wish I could undo this last patch.
In the 4th, Up by 30, nothing but passing. Down by 30 runs more then pass....... may just be me, but something seems off with that logic

Madden get rid of the extras (SS/XF, HFA, media, scenarios, game plan) or turn them down considerably.

I am now 100% convinced that Madden is at its best when playing in competitive mode. @Khalib stated this earlier and it holds true. Arcade mode is good, however the play art was a bit much and it’s ridiculous you can’t toggle it. Much like the momentum info on the screen it’s dumb I can’t get rid of that graphic.

Back to comp mode, I have about a 6 game franchise sample size in default AP, 10 min quarters with no acc clock. The only penalty I toggled was Intl Grounding set to off. Here is what I am getting:

1. CPU is a true champ at playcalling. I get attacked from a variety of ways and it seems they scheme to their studs. Played the Colts and Allie-Cox, Pittman, pierce, and Taylor were a problem. The CPU is also aggressive as all get out. If the CPU is in “no man’s land” on your side of the field, they are absolutely going 4 play mindset. Loved it as it was a reflection of how I would go.

2. Penalties, yes I see them and shockingly I have gotten 1 DPI PER GAME without messing with any sliders. Not saying much but on SIM it was weird. The animation of DPI and OPI was there, it just wasn’t getting called. I am sure if I messed with some sliders and maybe coach schemes I could generate more penalties which is kind of dumb, but it’s madden so what can you do?

3. Animations are really nice in regard to the the CPU utilizing way more of their abilities than sim. That’s all I am going to say about that because you just have to play it to know what I am saying. I have been loving the variety of moves being used against me and when watching the WR/defense interactions it’s been nice.

With this in mind I am now convinced that my theory regarding SIM is correct. There is definitely to much crap in the gumbo so to speak. Between the endless player ratings that need to be simplified, the individual player traits, and on top of that slider mysteries…this code is not talking smoothly. It conflicts with each other badly and so when SIM relies on true ratings, well…what ratings is it relying on? The ratings, traits, and other old code are making a convoluted mess. Couple that with penalties nonsense SIM is a mess.

We all see what we see when we play this game, if Comp or Arcade works for others it's all good, but I don't see any of the negative stuff that folks talk about on Sim mode, for me it is playing absolutely fantastic.

I know that the boosts that they get on that level makes it unpalatable for a lot of folks here, but the CPU AI on All Madden is such a great challenge to play against now. All positions have been improved from before, with CPU QB play being a standout.

I'm playing the PS4 version (on a PS5 no less), but I was playing Comp the last few years because I felt it provided more of a challenge. I switched back to Sim a few weeks ago, and it's been even better. I'm actually being challenged on AP.

Hands down best Madden in the history of the franchise! I play All Pro / Sim, not seeing any of the negative aspects mentioned within the sim style of play. Also, if I'm recalling correctly, this is the first time in the history of the franchise that I've actually played more than 2 franchise seasons. I'm moving into year four and guys let me tell ya, I feel like a kid in a candy store.

The player movement is gorgeous (a few hitches here and there every now and then that could be smoothed out), and the way the weight is shifted around during direction changes shows that the physics are represented VERY well. This is CRUCIAL for a football title, and absolutely no football game before this represents it better.

All I'm asking for at this point is for the devs to expand equipment selection (TredCAl thigh pads please and thank you), polish off presentation camera shots and stat overlays, and drop a sports broadcast team in the franchise mode and we're gold!

Same here. This is the first time in probably 8 years that I've completed the 1st season in a franchise (I got into year 4, I think).
