We were marching franchise matter🤬🤬🤬
But after while just like any march things get quiet and back to square 1
I feel like we were just pulling EA arm at this point pressing them to do something they no longer have the desire to do🤷

I know you guys tired of hearing this since 2005 but Madden needs competition to to light🔥🔥🔥🔥their fire unfortunately 💯

Re: What are your thoughts on franchise mode going into 2023?

The set up for it all need completely overhauled. I’m sick of it being so difficult to control all teams and make depth chart without it being an absolute pain.

In 2k you can go in and set injuries or take them away. That feature would be nice.

The auto sub feature needs fixed a lot of the times my back wouldn’t come back into a game after halftime.

Certain stats not being in the game and carrying over correcting is another issue.

The practice squad and IR issues needs to be updated.

Then the other commonly mentioned save and draft bugs.

It’s just a shame it’s at the point.

I mean it's pretty embarrassing that you guys further perpetuate their mediocrity in this regard. The only way to really make things change is to not buy.

The entire franchise mood needs scrapped at this point and started fresh.

Otherwise expect another bug riddled minimal effort copy pasta. Remember when they said "Most polished Madden experience"

I find myself letting the defensive playcall timer thing run all the way down because it helps me stay composed. The game otherwise basically asks you call plays as fast as possible at all times. It’s obnoxious.

ahh, I remember the days of Madden where you could get an extra hit in after the play and pick up a 15 yard penalty for 'unnecessary roughness'...and sometimes get away with it.

Madden isnt really a sim, - there's no unnecessary roughness penalties, no susepnsions, no on field injuries, hold outs, etc etc. I could go on for days

While i see where you are coming from and i even agree with most of what you said i just don’t think that boycotting is realistic or will do anything. Even if everyone on this forum, everyone in the madden reddit community, and everyone who watches madden on youtube all boycotted madden it still probably wouldn’t be enough unfortunately. I myself have boycotted the game before (from madden 09 - madden 15) and the game got worse while i was gone so I'm not sure if boycotting even works. Madden always is the highest selling game in august no matter how bad the game is. In the grand scheme of it all we are such a small group compared to the millions who just buy the game for fun and who want to play with their friends or just load up their favorite team in franchise and try to win the super bowl for 3 seasons and thats it. #Fixmaddenfranchise was the best the community has come together in a long time and the mode improved a decent amount from the start of madden 21 till now. The Reality is even if we all quit its still EA and its still the only NFL game so the game will always sell well to some degree. The thing that could get EA in hot water though is the fact that madden 23 simply has not worked at all for certain periods of time this year and that will make even the most average person playing the game annoyed so that could actually get change to happen. So did EA lie? Of course they did but so does every major company that sells stuff to consumers. It happens.

Re: What are your thoughts on franchise mode going into 2023?

They make their money with ultimate team not the people just buying the game. They could care less because they have to show a profit. The NFL would have to loosen their idea of what football is in video games. The answer would be to separate ultimate team and madden but that won’t happen. They would then have to put in work to make madden better. I don’t buy every year any more but it’s unfortunate what we have now. Gameplay for the most part is decent but if they names on the jerseys we’re not there this game would tank. This is why I am so surprised people think college will be so great. It’s going to be the same game with different teams. If and a big if they do make college an improvement to the game as a whole will it even affect madden. I admit that any fan base is tough on a game but the voices for improvement need to be loud on improving the game not equipment upgrades. We need to stop complaining about clipping in game or a wonky animation at times and be loud about training bugs or wrong scores. No video game will be perfect and at the end of the day it’s a simulation meaning it will never be what the nfl is. It emulates what might happen.

Nah, game is absolutely no where NEAR bad enough to make me not want to purchase it. I’m wrapped up in 23 (current gen) just as much as I was with the classic PS2 releases, it really is THAT good. Yes franchise needs a bit more love, but on the field I can’t name a football game throughout the history of football games that tops it.
