How’s your franchise going? Madden 24 edition

Won game three of preseason 44-37 over the Cardinals.

Made some changes to my sliders and I am almost ready for the Game 1 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

On All-Pro for the first 6-8 games and will bump up to All Madden if I steam roll teams. 10 min qtrs, 15 sec acc clock.

Started with the Cowboys, signed Crosby as my kicker to solidify the kicking position. Played moments only for the pre season and upgraded some players.

First game agains the Giants won 49-28. They marched down and scored the first drive with ease and I then went 3 and out and thought uh oh I could get blown out. Then I tightened up defensively and leaned on Pollard in the run game. I was up 42-7 late third qtr and then threw 2 picks and they got some late scores.

2023 Week 1
Vikings 28, Buccaneers 24

Down 24-10 at the half, Minnesota's defense stepped up with a second-half shutout and the offense got two late TD's to secure the season-opening win in Minneapolis.

The Vikes will travel to Philadelphia for a tough Thursday night matchup with the Eagles.

Fun game. Really not liking these high scores. Again, too many injuries leading to clock stopping, leading to more plays being run. This was with injury at 30.

Have you played past Week 1 in a franchise yet? I’ve seen a few people on here say that injuries level out some after week 1, and that you shouldn’t base your setting off of that one game. Can’t confirm it’s true yet myself, but probably worth a look.

No, I still have 8 games to play in week one. I'm playing every game. Hopefully they do level out.

2023 Week 2
Eagles 40, Vikings 16

Damn the Eagles are tough, especially at home. Never really had a chance in this one. Hurts was on point, and Swift ran the ball well. My defense is vulnerable to say the least.

Next week back home against the 1-1 Chargers. Hope to bounce back.

I did lock up TE T.J. Hockenson to a 5 year, $70 million contract.

Cardinals 23 (me) Commanders 24 (cpu)
Late fg from Washington won it. Fun game. Had a drive going to get in fg position, but Ertz, wide open down the seam, didn't reach out for the ball and the safety picked it off, sealing the game.
