Catching off tips

I don't think there's been one ball that either the CPU or myself has caught off a deflection. The ball gets tipped right to a receiver, and then the ball bounces right off his hands. I'm not expecting every tipped ball to be caught, but if a ball goes right to someone, they ought to be able to catch it. Anyone else find it this way? Any sliders I can change to fix this?

Unfortunately no. Last year, the pinball tips resulting in touchdowns (especially the QB throw out of sack ones) were so prevalent they nerfed tipped passes being caught into the ground. Unless your defender has Tip Drill, a deflected ball will be caught maybe once out of every ten times.

I had the CPU convert a 3rd and 11 on me yesterday on a tipped ball. All Madden 50 catching slider.

Yeah it happens sometimes, esp if the player around the ball has higher AWR and a decent catch rating.

Having more tipped catches are the last thing I’d want personally. It was out of control the past few years and looked like a volleyball rather than a football.
