Re: Lack of challenge on All-Pro Theory

I don’t have lots of trouble passing on All-Madden but rushing and defense is a completely different story. I rush for 2 to 3 yards on running plays from under center and slightly better from shotgun.

It’s next to impossible to stop the CPU on defense most of the time, they either score or I intercept them, next to no punting. Man, zone, blitzing, doesn’t matter when a 75 ovr QB looks like Brady every game.

I was beating teams by 30+ almost every game on all-pro. This is my first game since Madden 19 so maybe I still have some adjusting to do.

I do wish EA would bring back the ability to set different difficulty levels for each side of the ball. I would have offense on All Madden and defense on All Pro.
After more games, I'm afraid this is where I'm at. I don't mind losing games, but my DBs seem like their ratings don't matter at all against the CPU on AM.

Re: Lack of challenge on All-Pro Theory

I played and tested more tonight, and I really like what I’m seeing out of increased CPU RBK. I’m seeing significantly more runs out of the CPU just from that alone, and I’ve been between 53 and 55 for that value. Very interesting to note.

And the CPU pass game gets a lot better when you give them more PBK and lower HUM PCVG, INT, and PDRT.

Hope that’s helpful!

When you say broken, what are you referring to?

So just my 2 cents..... Game changer for me was default all-pro and the only change I made was change to competitive instead of simulation.... NIGHT AND DAY. To me game plays MUCH better.....

In my personal experience, once you get to about Week 15, CPU teams have slightly fatigued players, sometimes they will play a few downs and disappear, other times they will have the exhausted animation and are fatigued to the point, they are slower and the game becomes easier.

Do you play vs CPU and do teams play more to their ratings or is it just all competitive/close games regardless of who you are playing? Been thinking of making this move but not sure

Re: Lack of challenge on All-Pro Theory

Since the conversation is being brought up again between Simulation vs Competitive, I gave this a go for M23, and needless to say went right back to Simulation...below is my post from last years game...

This mode is what I call "big play mode"...because that's all there were, there was nothing even remotely realistic in this game.

I did end up winning, but in order to do so I had to throw out conventional wisdom and play "Madden ball" instead of trying to play realistically...based on what I witnessed, there was no way this game represented any ratings for players what-so-ever.

Pickett 21/33 488yards 63% 2td and 1 int.
Watson 17/27 328yards 62% 2td and 2int

If I had to pick one thing that MIGHT have stood out, was my Defense held Chubb to 36 yards on 10 att...while Felton went 52 yards on 6carries

But again, there was absolutely no defense, the Browns receivers made catches that in no WAY should have been caught...but it is what it is.

I'll be going back to Sim mode, so whichever mode you pick hope you get better results than I did.
