Madden 25 needs to be the year of presentation and little things

This upcoming madden should be the year of smaller but needed features. Most of these features are smaller but there a few big ones like the news feed overhaul or stadium creator. Out of this list if they could add around 5-10 of these then i would be ecstatic. Please leave feedback of what u think of this list or add your own requested features. Enjoy!

- Brand new news feed (at least 1 story per week per team)
- Power rankings, Draft grades, season predictions, NFL top 100, etc
- Mini games at NFL combine and private workouts
- Cpu-cpu trades during the draft
- Undrafted free agency period
- Updated awards presentation (NFL Honors)
- Stadium creator or new generic stadiums
- FOTF face editor in franchise or add at least double to triple the amount of generic faces with different hairstyles, different color hair and beards to keep it fresh
- Generic rookies accessory logic overhaul (more variety)
- ✅ Multiple commentary teams (pretty sure this is already confirmed)
- Different scorebugs (one for TNF, SNF, MNF, Home AFC, Home NFC)
- Draft stories tab on upcoming rookies
- College stats on upcoming rookies (at least final season)
- Team Rebranding (updating uniforms, logos, field, etc)
- Big Trade notifications (Mlb the show esque)
- Most importantly: update positions or bring back logic to have players switch positions.

Re: Madden 25 needs to be the year of presentation and little things

100% agree. All the news and hype with the college football game and all of the gameday experience features has me thinking that EA has to finally step up their presentation and immersion features in the new Madden.

One would think, but unfortunately Madden has moved backwards in this department for the past 20 years literally. NFL 2K5 is light years away better than Madden 24. Just look at pre-game tailgating shots or the detail of each team's super fans or the Chris Berman Halftime Show with actual highlights.

I don't have to run down the laundry list of things missing or in 2024 that should be in a Madden NFL game by now, but for a franchise that has always outsold the college football franchise, one would expect the level of detail when it comes to the NFL gameday experience in this year's Madden to be even greater than NCAA football. We will see...

I thought it was mentioned awhile ago by Charles Davis on a podcast this madden will have 3 commentary teams. If so that would be excellent.

I do feel like there will be at least a second team. I felt for the last couple years, they needed to move on from the Davis-Gauldin set. This has felt like the longest a team lasted in Madden. I can see a similar timeline to what EA CFB25 did with Fowler-Herbstreit. They have been doing it for 2 years. So, I can see both Madden and CFB doing commentary work behind the scenes for the last 2 years. With them being able to do home recordings, that should be a lot more convenient for the process. It's a huge difference in having to fly them out to Tiburon for a few sessions and them being able to record from their own homes.

I really want to doubt that EA Sports seemingly put a ton of effort towards atmosphere/presentation/immersion for EA CFB 25 and stay status quo for Madden. I want to believe Madden got a similar, if not more effort in that department. I always felt there was more attention to detail with that in the past NCAA games. We just got to hope that Madden finally follows suit. I think the issue was the mindset of "why put a ton of resources towards implementing something that the casual gamer will skip through after a week". I get that mindset. With most games, after it gets to a certain point, I'm skipping over something that I've seen many times already. But, at the same time, you still have to put the necessary detail in to having gamers immersed in the atmosphere

I want a scouting system that’s super interactive. Right now you press a few buttons to scout a player and move on. I want a scouting system where you truly learn the name of the prospects. When it comes to draft time I want to actually be immersed as the board falls. CPU trades amongst themselves would add to the immersion.

I’m actually on the opposite end of the spectrum when it comes to commentary. I actually hope they keep Gaudin and Davis because they have years of commentary stitched into the game already so i wouldn’t want the commentary to take a step back but only steps forward. At that step forward would be adding another team. It keeps it fresh and could add a big game feel when the other team does a game.

I said this before, but thats the big mistake MLB the show did which was getting rid of Matty V and his years worth of commentary lines and having Jon Scambi redo them all. Due to this the commentary just hasnt been good in the show the last few years and could have been avoided if they just added Scambi and Singleton as the second team.

I wasn't saying that they have to go away now, I was talking about in previous years. If it's truly multiple teams, no real point to scrap all the years of work Davis and Gaudin. It'll be a big different hearing different broadcast teams on different occasions mixed in what we've experienced past 8 or so years and hearing Gaudin and Davis every game.
