That said, they are professionals and could do it even if it would be tedious, and I am NOT opposed to such on/off switches. All I was commenting on is the casual NFL/Madden fans who in my opinion are the chief reason why Madden never quite lives up to being the only NFL game.
There's a difference between the graphical front-end and the text/database backend. Each is kind of a different type of programming, which is why you have specific graphics artists.

Ultimately, including toggle switches to control things like my previous example shouldn't ever be much harder than inserting a reference like such into the flow of code:

Figuring out which players to load...

IF Legends_Toggle = on, then
load Legends

else

...and this is where it would continue like normal.

"load Legends" would simply insert Legends into the draft at randomized intervals, or base their projected draft position on their stats. There could even be ANOTHER toggle for the user to decide which draft position concept they preferred.

These are truly simple programming concepts. They wouldn't be hard to implement, if EA decided they wanted to include the option.

And yes, I have done some programming previously in a few languages. Some web design stuff (including Javascript), some Perl / CGI scripting, as well as some more desktop-focused languages.

Re: Jerry Ricecake

They also have Jerry Ricecake on the actual NFL Predict The Pick site...

http://predictpick.nfl.com/

I have no doubt he will be on Madden 15. Seeing Leon Sandcastle in the draft in M25 made me crack a smile... but I was a bit annoyed to see Jerry Ricecake. I am sure we will start seeing others like:

Joe Montegna
Jon Gelway
Kermit Smith
... meh... you get it.

When I see people getting excited about this it makes a lot of things a bit more clear about the development of Madden. As much as people plead for simulation football - they then want these clones, etc. SMH

Re: Jerry Ricecake

I just want random draft ratings. I can deal with a movie star or two as I simply won't draft them on my team. I just hate it when these drafts are predetermined and people can create draft guides. Completely ruins the NFL Draft in my online league which is the most exciting part.

Our drafts with the imported draft classes were so much fun.

Re: Jerry Ricecake

I wouldn't mind seeing Jerry Ricecake in the draft very much, as long as it doesn't turn the draft class into a joke. The only thing I want to see is just more draft classes. I've probably played over 30 seasons total in all of my CFMs, and I've probably seen every draft class at least once. At this point, I know a lot of sleepers in each class just by playing.

PS: Why are all the good DTs under 290 lbs? Its nearly impossible to find a good nose tackle in the draft. The DEs are bigger than the DTs.

When you mention not minding Jerry Ricecake and then wishing to have more realism in classes, etc... I just have to wonder which you want more. They need to randomize these classes and also make it possible for the community to create draft classes like NBA 2K.

That would be in a perfect world. Then again... Well, you know.

Re: Jerry Ricecake

I personally don't care about the ability to edit the draft classes. I'd be perfectly content with random ratings that fall in line with what the rookies in Madden already have.

These things are made by hand and they are terrible. I mean absolutely atrocious.

Considering there have been a few drafts that I have basically traded out of because of the poorly created prospects - I have to agree. I think some members of the community could do a hell of a better job creating classes, etc. It would be time consuming, but I would even volunteer to make some classes.

As it is, I have a hard time wanting to play my CFM that much at this point because I have built my team into a juggernaut. I really don't want to support Madden 15 but I am getting that itch already.
