Gotcha, because I know everyone has their own little takes on quarters, like Narduzzi at Michigan State has the corners in press, and the way he has the hook/curl defender plaster short outbreaking routes sometimes looks to me like they're playing the flats the way you normally would in Cover 3.

Sounds like you know what you're looking at, though.

Very cool of you to do this, too, by the way.

Quick question, slightly off topic: you noted how often NFL teams stick with Cover 3 and Cover 1, can you expound (if you noticed) on how often they change up the line stunts and games with these coverages?

thats the thing I wish in the game like in the 2k series you can change the stunt and defense individually but I see a lot of the fronts switch up. For example, looking at the chiefs defense they play a 3-4 run basically the same coverages but they will stunt the line to the right or left or stunt the nose and the 3T with an additional rusher on the outside. Also, looking at Michigan St defense they do play aggressive on the flat routes. It is similar to how Seattle plays it where they are pressed on outside on the #1's. I wish in madden they had different types of zone defenses. Like some play landmark zone defenses, while others play matchup zone defenses and some dictate the depth of their zone drop on the routes ran. It get really complicated and hard to accomplish on madden because a lot of zone defense is dependent on the routes that are ran.

I'm wondering what your thoughts are on the Patriots'.. As a die hard New England fan, I'm always looking for more insight on their schemes. What do they do offensively and defensively? I know they're well known for being multiple on defense, and playing even and under fronts with a lot of nickel/sub-packages. Lots of different techniques along the defensive line too, I think.

Just curious as to what you see Belichick doing.
I haven't watched as much film on the New England Patriots but you are right they are very multiple. Very rarely do they have great edge rushers, so they do do a lot of zone blitzes and man blitzes and as you expect, players play with a lot of fundamentals and technique. When i watch more film on them i will definitely give you more insight.
