New style of audible calling.

In Madden, we've been seeing improvements in the audible system over the last couple years. (Formation specific personnel calling a couple years ago; now you have to wait for the QB to call it out this year, etc)... Now with Ben McAdoo as the O coordinator for the G-men, he has them doing a "baseball based" hand signal type audible system. So yay or nay; would it be cool or dumb for EA to implement a silent hand signal type audible system for Eli and the Giants included in an already being released future patch, or in future iterations? or not?

Pretty dumb, imo. If we had a nearly perfect game already, then maybe. There isn't really a need for it.

If they implement it they better do it right. Meaning Eli makes hand signals, the rest of the team has no clue what they mean so they run the wrong routes and Eli throws an INT.

I don't know that the game needs that, however, what it does need is MORE audible calls... I get so tired of hearing the same old things called out... you hot route "Y" and the QB calls out "Zebra," you hot route "B" and he calls out "Zebra." Even though the two hot routes are totally different!

How about a series of words for each hot route? You want a Drag - come up with 5 words that can stand for that hot route... you want a Zig, same thing and so on and so on... and make it so the D, especially the ones in your division that you play twice each year, eventually can figure out your "audible key words," thus forcing us to make changes to them, so that a different series of words is used for each hot route.

Ah... who am I kidding? That would be too life like. Plus, it wouldn't appeal to the 7-year old causal gamer that EA seems to cater to. But it was something to think about...
