What upgrades do you focus on? Development or attributes?

This only negates that to a point, if a player had a good season and the exceeds goals he will still have a ton of XP at the end of the year that the CPU can use to upgrade development.

Are there are negative side effects to automating game prep and player progression? I'd rather have my players progress the same way as the CPU's, to keep things fair the whole way through a long CFM.
