Re: What makes a good Running Back?
Now that I've tested out backs a bit more, here's what I've come up with:
I think that the most important traits, in order, are agility, elusiveness, BCV, carrying, and PBK (or CTH, depending on whether or not you include your HB in the passing game often).
Why? Because I've found a few things out. First off, speed and acceleration are GREAT, but using turbo only leads to you running into blockers before running lanes open up, defenders warp tackling you easier, and MUCH slower cuts. Whenever a defender is in my vicinity, and I want to juke him, I just let go of the turbo and flick the left stick. Don't even use the moves. If you're not using turbo, and you do it correctly, it'll be a very quick cut, you won't lose speed, and the defender will completely whiff. Having a higher agility obviously helps this, as does elusiveness. BCV helps you, again, to not run into blockers, and the last two are self-explanatory.
So basically, don't get too caught up on speed and acceleration, and don't even worry about moves and awareness.
