interception

It seems like when i hit the intercept button its just not responsive most the time.
i have ball hawk on amd user assist off if that helps at all ? My slider set is joshs so my slider isba tad low but when i user hit the button it shud go for it right ?

I'm experiencing the same thing. What happens for me, is there is usually a very clear interception possibility so I switch user control to the closest DB/defender and tap Y right to time the high point of my jump animation.

Are you supposed to hold Y instead, or just let the CPU try to intercept it?

If you're using ball hawk, you hold Y to jump and continue holding until either you catch it or drop It.

Ok that would make sense why balls are hitting my guys in the chest/facemask without them so much as blinking.

Was getting frustrated that my only interceptions were from letting the CPU handle it.

I hate when I swap to the closest, I'm in obvious position to make a play on the ball, press Y and....nothing. He just stands there and looks around while the WR makes the catch and turns down field...UGH.

i had that happen more frequently with USER ASSIST on , now that its off i havent had it happen as much...

so ball hawk shud def be off? i do like the heat seeker from time to time because i can make more "shoe string" tackles and stop the run a bit better

It's a problem I'm not sure is entirely fixable. I know that's a cop-out answer but I recall this being a problem in previous Maddens too, specifically after the "ball-hawk" feature was implemented.

Are you playing on the 360/PS3? I played early release on my 360 before getting the PS4 and this was a HUGE issue on that version. Ball hawk works fine on the Current Gen. consoles.
