CFM depth chart... HELP PLEASE!!!

I'm playing an offline Connected Franchise and play a game against my friend. The game is a blowout and we pause the game to put in our backups, BUT only the main controller is able to edit their depth chart while in-game. The 2nd controller which my friend is controlling is not able to edit his depth chart though. It gives an error saying that he is not allowed to change the depth chart... We even tried to change sides for the controller and thought maybe that would work for him to change his depth chart since the main controller is able to edit the depth chart but we weren't allowed to switch sides either

Does anyone know how to fix this problem? This has happened more than once. PLEASE HELP!!!

Let me start with "THIS IS JUST MY EDUCATED OPINION".

Are you both Coaches/Owners for the respective teams mentioned? If your friend is simply just playing for the other team and you aren't Human controlling that team via being their coach/owner that is why you are unable to edit the depth chart.

The game doesn't let you edit other teams depth chart/players at all if you aren't the Owner/Coach controlling that team.

Only the person that pauses the game can edit their depth chart. Did he try to pause the game and then edit?

Happens with 32 team control I do not know why.

Yes we are both coaches for those two teams and he couldn't edit his depth chart when the game is paused. Only the main controller which I was controlling was able to edit the depth chart

Yeah he paused the game and tried to edit the depth chart with the controller that he was controlling but the game says he's not allowed to change the depth chart like I mentioned
