Like I said, not having a go, just thought it could be a case of the "reverse placebo" effect. If you are expecting rubbish, it will be.
Why would I take offense to this? You know, it's funny because I thought about the "reverse placebo" thing last night, and promised myself that today, I would give the game a chance, to see if there was anything I could do to correct some of the changes the patch made. I came home from work and spent the afternoon with the game. The game speed is much faster and feels much less fluid. The players lack the sense of weight that existed before the patch. The animations feel much more robotic. Last night, I noticed that my test running back's legs would get tangled up in an odd animation I most definitely did not see before the patch, and the movement actually caused a stutter.

Pass defense seems dumbed down, as the secondary lacks the aggression they had pre-patch. Admittedly, you are right that this game was a disappointment, as it has been since Madden 12, so, you are correct in your point that I am looking for issues within the game. But, that is what I do... I analyze... I am sure that what I am seeing after the patch is not placebo.

Re: Madden NFL 15 Update 1.04 Has Arrived, 398 MB

One thing I noticed late last night and early this morning was that I had my setting on All Madden then I would go into a play now game and at some point in the first half it would switch the difficulty to Pro. I noticed the kick meter would get slow and show the three kick points. I made sure it was right before the game too. I finally switched from AM in the main menu and switched it back to AM. Works fine now. I wonder if anyone else has had this happen and not notice it during testing.

Just throwing that out there

Before the patch the corners and safeties, as well as linebackers, were very aggressive with my settings. Now, I can't get them to be aggressive on any settings. I throw all over the field.

Just out of curiosity, are you testing with the FBG rosters, or using default rosters?

'Cause, overall, I thik my experience so far is matching that of Charters, and just wondering if that is the difference?

This patch has destroyed my Madden Franchise! Using Armor and Swords sliders I'm playing Washington and I'm Houston and at half im losing 28-7. Houston has a good D and a great front line and I can't stop anything.

Griffin 8-8 passing for 128 and 2 TD's and 1 carry for 21
Morris 9-96 and a TD at one point he broke 7 tackles

Mallet 6-17 82 and a TD and been sacked 6 times
Foster 8-24 and my WR have dropped 4 open passes

I can't stop Washingtons offense for ****!

in reference to the player likeness update, i dont understand how they can fix 160 player models, but still havent fixed AHMAD BROOKS with the niners, it drives me crazy its not even like hes some under the radar unknown player in that case it'd be whatever... along with other players still too..
i really honestly would care less about these small fixes if we could have a decent offline franchise with real physics...... ugh

I found a hard to sack now. Getting maybe 3 a game compared to 3 per d-lineman. My secondary sucks now but I am playing with the bears and they don't have jack for line backers or CB's so it was kinda nice I'm not leading the league in defence. I don't know seemed way more realistic the games I played I was gonna give up because I found the game too easy and dumb with the sacks. Actually enjoyed playing games the last few games on cfm. Hope things go better for you boys

When a patch comes out its best to try default stuff to see how it plays. Sliders are made based on previous tuning. Just my 2 cents
