Team Salary Management Tool

What do you guys do to manage your salary cap? Is there a tool out there that you use?

I'm at the end of Season 2 with the Bills and trying to resign Marcel Dareus. The problem is that we wants upwards of $11M per season. He's a beast and I really want to retain him. I'm just not sure he's worth $11.5M per season.

I haven't had time to really delve into this and find a reasonable way to manage the cap so was wondering what things you guys might use?

Re: Team Salary Management Tool

Well, I started working on my own since I need to figure out my cap situation. I'm a novice at Excel so it is very basic. If someone how is more experienced than I wants to improve it, feel free.

Here is a screenshot of what it looks Like with my Vikings team:

You can download the file here.

Re: Team Salary Management Tool

I'm a bit of a spreadsheet nerd (use them daily for odd and end things) and actually ended up creating a pretty nifty draft/scout spreadsheet tool for M15 that's worked out pretty well.

I've just started working on a Roster Management / Salary tool so I'll let you know once I've got it all set up.

Also, I can't access that link you provided. Could you PM it to me?

Re: Team Salary Management Tool

min salary + signing bonus = 3/4 what player is asking for

Sign young starters to 6 year deals. Just scale the number of years back when they get older so you're not stuck with 33yr old players who you want to replace.

You'll never run into salary cap problems doing this.

Do you happen to have a copy of the spreadsheets you use?

That is over simplified. You have players of all age ranges. You have free agents. You have holes to fill. Trades that can be made. Yes, you can have a decent team and reasonable cap flexibility with your system. They have to make it that way for the average Madden player. However, play in a hardcore league with 20+ owners all vying for the same free agents and you will understand why true cap management is needed.

Re: Team Salary Management Tool

Any chance the link for this sheet can be reposted please? The existing ones don't work.
