If you run a 3-4, a possible solution would be to run Big Dime Sub. I know the Chiefs playbook has it. Your second string SS plays in the box next too the MLB. That could be your base formation if you have run stopping OLBs or you can sub OLB for DE/DT.

Also in Nickle you can sub your nickleback for a S.

thanks for the suggestion. I usually run a 4-3 (I'm a Giants fan and I've grown up watching all kinds of 4-3s, from Spags to Fewell and back to Spags) and don't run the 3-4 often at all.
