Anyone else checking here often to see the first rumor about M16 to break?

Yep, it's exactly why I logged in today.

I only played a little bit of Madden 15, I ended up having to get rid of my Xbox One in November and I bought a PS4 in its place, but I never bought Madden 15 for PS4. So, I've been out of Madden since November, and I see no point jumping back into 15 when 16 is coming in 3 months. Just waiting for some news to drop now.

Day one of May is in the bank, and not a peep about M-16'. I know that there are 30 more days in May, but on April 16th they teased that: "We’ll be sharing news, features and more details starting in May.". I know that they didn't say at the start of May, and I just need to be patient. But I have been waiting a DECADE (and approx. $600.00), for Madden to come out with a game as good as Madden 06 PS2, so please don't talk to me about patience.


I wasn't expecting much, possibly a timeline of the planned release of information.
ex:
May 15: We will tell you about the new MUT stuff.
May 30: We will tell you about Madden Mobile stuff.
June 15: We will tell you about gameplay.
June 30: We will tell you about CCM, or CFM, (or whatever they call Franchise Mode now).
July 15: We will tell you about fluff and stuff (presentation).
July 30: We will tell you about new features.
August 15: We will have a release presser that will tell you anything that we have missed, and show some of the first rounders playing Madden 16.


But not a peep about Madden 16...crickets.crickets. The only thing that came out yesterday was about Ultimate Legends in MUT. "As part of #MUTSeason, Madden Ultimate Team (MUT) is putting together the “Ultimate Team” of NFL Legends." And "Want to play with your team's first round draft pick?" Only for MUT and For Madden 15! Whoohoo (sarcasm). If this (#MUTSeason) is a glance of what is to come w/M-16', it appears that I will be disappointed another year.

There is a Madden game coming out, hahaha oh yea it is...... What u said above is about all anyone should expect to hear in may.That about the only "news" ,if you want to call it that , you will hear .Just drag it out for 2.5 months. With little details here, and there. But i can tell you what to expect...

- "better,smarter AI".... supposedly

- more user control on ball trajectory

- a couple things from last year removed

- a couple tiny new things added that will be broken and never properly patched due to "not enough time" and " working on it for next year" .

- Alot of focus and new things for MUT

- Added rookies and new rosters for teams.

Thats about it. Anything else will most likely be fluff and not really in the game ( living worlds anyone?? ) (Penalties) ( etc)

Well i wouldnt really put much stock in Madden 16 really impressing you. Sounds like you have learned from past how they are.However your xbox 1 will find new football life this year,so fear not. Just be ready, you will be glad you own an xbox 1 , cause im gonna have to go buy one now myself.

I'm an all All-Platform gamer and this really helps being ready for situations where choosing one version of a game over another platform's version is needed. I thought Madden 15 was a bit better on XBOX One but overall every console multiplat is better on PS4, so my XBOX One is collecting dust especially since I don't care for its exclusives either. I'd like to see PS4 Madden pick up some things from the XBOX One version, but at this point I feel sorry enough for XB1's state that any edge it can get from anything I can look the other way on not being in a PS4 game.

MS better have some big plans in the works for XB1 and fast because this is set to get even uglier than it already is, and it's plenty ugly right now.

Forget about bullet points with 'new'/'almost new'/'back from the grave' features: today it's the social networks that sell games: I, for one, can't wait to see which licensed NFL player will star in the next viral commercial video, rapping 'blah blah blah'.

No, seriously, I still have nightmares for that... but isn't that sort of stuff that sells the game nowadays ?
