Question about predownloads & EA Access

No, you can't download it right now from the EA Access app. But, if you pre-order it digitally from Xbox Live, then it downloads as soon as you pay (plus there's a 10% discount).

So in a way, if you were both buying the game regardless AND wanted to use Access the moment EA lets us, that's one way to do it.

I already pre-ordered the game through Game Stop so I guess a two or three hour download wait for the 10 hour early trial won't kill me for Thursday. Next year, I'll buy the game through EA Access.

Anyone know if I cancel EA access after I buy the game if I keep my 10% discount for Madden?

I think you'll keep the 10% discount on all EA purchases until the sub runs out. Ex: you sign up today, buy Madden, then cancel, and the sub is good until September 17th.
