Still i am curious.
It's a good question though, keep track of it and try it out for sure.

What mode did you experience the glitch/bug in? online CFM

How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it? Can you recreate it? sim forward to 2nd season and most LT have lost points in PBK. This appears to only be an issue if games are simmed or supersimmed. Too many sacks are given up by the OL which triggers the regression. For example my current CFM is in week 5 and Greg Robinson has already given up 17 sacks.

How often has the bug been reproduced? 5 CFMs created, same issue

Do you have video or a picture? Attached. All pictures from the end of season 4 of one of my CFMs

The 2nd Player in the ratings pic is Kalil
Want to share this from the bug/glitches thread.
So hopefully it's only an issue w/ Simmed season stats and doesn't affect played seasons.
He has pics of it also in his post from today

Re: Players Regressing During Regular Season Too Soon?

Might be worth it to check the "sacks allowed" stat for simmed games. This is only anecdotal on my part, but I remember seeing in another thread that a couple players were allowing 30+ sacks individually in one season, which strikes me as a high number.

I don't know what a good number for the sacks allowed stat is - it's not an official stat that the NFL tracks, if someone can find this info that'd be wonderful - but looking at some articles propping up Tyron Smith against other left tackles, it appears the elite tackles allow low single digits a season.

On its face, the idea of in-season player regression is one I like, but this obviously appears a bit extreme.

I just shared it in the post right before yours, tef has pics in the bugs/glitches thread from today.
They are allowing way too many sacks when simmed, so hopefully it's just an issue when you sim a season.

Re: Players Regressing During Regular Season Too Soon?

That could be the issue, but I don't think players ever regressed during the regular season in past maddens. Mix in the fact this only happens to certain positions, and I would have to think this is simply a glitch.

If someone does give up 30 sacks in a season, by all means bring him down a peg after the season, but I really hope players do not regress week by week. It would pretty much be like last years confidence but permanent.

Also, unless you have a 32 user league, most games are going to get simmed. If you play offline by yourself, it's going to happen to every team except you.

Re: Players Regressing During Regular Season Too Soon?

There's another major Regression glitch I've found. It's AWR rating for QB's (and it seems to be AWR rating for all positions).

I simulated 4 season, went to the beginning of week 1 for season 5, and there are only FIVE qb's with an AWR rating above a 70:

Rodgers: 96
Russel Wilson: 89
Luck: 81
Matt McGloin: 72
Roethlisberger: 70

Every other starting QB is below a 70, with a lot of them in the 40 - 50 range. I noticed this when looking at Winston. His SAC was a 99, his MAC was an 84, and DAC was an 81, but he only had an 82 Overall (his awareness is a 49 - down from 69 for his rookie year).

This seems to be the case for most players who are not already established as having a high Awareness rating.

This may also affect the CPU not being able to properly progress younger players - but more research is needed for that....

Re: Players Regressing During Regular Season Too Soon?

How can all this get passed them? They have an entire separate team working on CFM so you would think they would find these things out when they test the game. This is really disappointing since it does look like the gameplay is a lot better this year. Hopefully they can get a quick fix out for all of these things.
