I'm not a fan of the drive goals thing either, but the way I have been using it in my CFM games is that a player has just been getting "hot" at certain points in the game. Granted, I also don't have any of that stuff on the screen, so I don't go out of my way to complete the goals that I have. Plus if they are not carrying over from one week until the next I don't think its that big of a deal.

Basically what I'm saying is if one game a QB gets hot and has a great week, and the next week he throws 3 interceptions and we lose, I don't think I will mind this bug as much as everyone else.

If a team goes 0-16 and they bring in a new staff the next year and a team goes 4-12, it means they are progressing but they arent going to go 16-0 overnight. Same thing with the old and new dev teams.

Just to finish my thoughts on dislike for xp and player dev and praise for the NHL system, this video kind of shows it off (even if the youtuber is annoying) at the 8 minute mark and on.
