Re: Madden NFL 16 Tuning Update Arrives, Tunes Risk/Reward Factor in WR/DB Interactio

The QB accuracy is much better this year along with the wr/db animations. The QB's are playing near where they are in the NFL.

We all know in the past that it didn't matter if it was Jimmy Clausen or Aaron Rodgers playing QB, they both threw about 70% or above.

Last night, I played a Bears vs Packers game on All-Pro, Josh C's sliders. This felt as close to a NFL game I've played on Madden for quite awhile, stats wise.

Cutler was injured in the first quarter and never returned. Clausen came in and last year and years past, he would have finished with the same numbers as Cutler or Rodger. Last night, he hit 50% of his passes. Finally, EA nailed that.

Now, Rodgers hit 58% of his passes(me) and he was around 65% last year. I'm not at all complaining about that. This tells me the game is different than past games and I need to go into practice mode and don't come out until I average 65% with Rodgers.

As far as Rodgers throws, it's all about the wr/db animations this year. Rodgers throws are on the money, but if I throw it in traffic, shame on me. I need to make better reads. As far as Clausen throws, his were all over the place, over throws, under throws, etc...... nice, a nice comparison between a Rodgers and a Clausen.

My strong suggestion is go into practice mode and try to get the QB's playing like they should be before we tip the scales on telling the developers they need to fix it.

Just my suggestion.

This ^

people take kapernick and expect to hit passes after passes like they used to. This year qb matter. Even manning misses passes as IRL.

The rest is just madden being different from game to game.

@RexDEAFootball: @booker2121 @Shopmaster increased catch chance penalty if multiple defenders near receiver. Higher chance of INT if Def wins catch outcome.

That would explain all the shifting and warping I am seeing with DBs and WRs.

Seriously. People are just too lazy to actually put some work into either getting better or gaining a better understanding of their personnel. While it may not be cool in the high school cafeteria or your college dorm room to lower your playing level or change sliders, you may want to think out of the box and customize the game for your own playing style.

I am sick of people whining about too accurate, too inaccurate, can't run, the run game is too easy, aggressive catch is overpowered, blah, blah, blah. USE THE TOOLS AVAILABLE TO CUSTOMIZE YOUR EXPERIENCE!

Yep...it's Monday

Pass plays have a flow to them. If you don't go crazy with audibles and follow natural progression. (Red route first, then what would naturally be your 2nd and 3rd based off where you are looking you can have great success in the passing game as far as throwing to the open receiver. It still depends on the QB if those passes will be complete but plays set up nicely.

So I don't see what was wrong. Yeah draft champions played a little different but I'm worried..

Before any gameplay even came out... That's when the OP thread started about aggressive catch being OP. They literally watched a couple quick clips and assumed it op.

I LOVE that for ONCE being a great receiver matters, being a great Cb matters too. You can rely on big-time receivers as long as you get them the ball in the right place.. But pass into double coverage and you will normally drop..

I just hope they didn't under power it..
I like the tunning and the elite players feel elite problem i have when playing user is defensive matchup ! (sorry a little off here ) try to quicky set up double teams suck when the other user run no huddle! you mention its about 20% success rate in 1 on 2 elite wr and 40% 1 on1 ! and now it went up ?

I'm curious about something. I don't own the game yet but you seem to indicate the game is better this year and you also say you are adjusting sliders.

Not trying to argue, just asking - if the game is better why are you adjusting sliders?

I could play on default, but I never have with Madden or any other sports game I've owned.

These sliders felt great.

I'm still in the tinkering stage until CFM drops with the patch.

Thanks for asking.
