Pre-existing injuries in Franchise CPU not utilizing IR

I'm trying to start a new franchise and I want to start playing it with pre-existing injuries on. However when I do this the CPU is not putting players with season ending injuries on IR. This results in active roster spots being used by injured players, and healthy players who are in real life on the active roster get cut. The Packers for instance have 3 players who are out for the year, but their replacements on the roster get cut and the injured players are not put on IR.

Am I using the wrong settings when starting my franchise? I'm using an official roster that I made equipment changes to.

I'm having a similar problem but just that the pre-existing injuries are wrong. For example JPP is on the Giants with all of his fingers.

Nevermind...not sure what I did different but it's working correctly now.

When I first started a franchise, the players were actually injured, but they weren't put on IR by the CPU. I started another one and now it's putting injured players on IR.

Wait so the franchise you started had the proper players injured? When I started my franchise the Giants still had JPP, Cruz and Beatty healthy
