Are Concussions a Thing in Madden?

Hey guys, are concussions in the game this year? I don't know if I have seen one so that's why I'm asking.

Don't believe i've seen one, and highly doubt the NFL would allow any acknowledgement or replication of these in an NFL video game.

They definitely used to be; in one of the Madden games with Cris Collinsworth on color commentary during the initial rise of concussion awareness, Madden handled concussions by automatically forcing the player out for the game and triggering canned commentary from Collinsworth about the point of emphasis on concussions, protecting players, etc.

I actually don't know if I've seen a concussion this year either, but I honestly don't remember either way.

Ive yet to see one in 5 seasons in our CFM. Kind of hard to believe a player could have a concussion with all the weak hits the game produces. My hit stick feels like a mediocre stick . Ive yet to see an actual big hit like we used to see, and quite frankly it makes me sad.

I feel the game has some really strong hits, and players are always leading with their heads. A player will be going down from a 1 on 1 tackle and then two more defenders will come head first and hit him on the way down. The physics systems doesnt usually pick it up enough to trigger a noise or strong animation, but if this game actually registered every hit and movement I think there would be a lot of concussions and blown ACL's.

I have also not seen any in multiple years of CFM.

Like the NFL will sign off on something like that lol. No concussions period.
