PS4 Neo and Madden

With the PS4 Neo now confirmed I was thinking how it will effect Madden and sports games in general. Since Microsoft seems like the lead platform will EA support the PS4 Neo?

I'm sure EA will support Neo, as from what I understand it's just a beefed up PS4. Same with Xbox Scorpio or whatever it's called lol. I think the improved graphics and framerate will obviously make games like Madden look even better, but if we do get the frostbite engine in Madden next year, then I think the graphics are seriously going to be taken to the next level.

From what I hear they wont have a choice but to support it, all games have to make a regular ps4 version of the game with an updated patch for the Neo version, or Sony wont allow the game to be released on the console.


But that's just what I heard when all the Neo talk started sounds legit though.

Doesn't mean it will take advantage of the hardware. This conversation is really premature though, nobody really has any idea.

Same thing I originally heard. The game must support both PS4 versions at release.

But like it's been stated it doesn't mean it will be a dramatic improvement.

I just wonder with EA Sports moving to Frostbite engine is because of the Neo. I'm not a coder and have no knowledge, but could be why the decided to change up engines.

Here's a quick read on the requirements game developers must meet for the Neo version. Seems to basically guarantee 1080p resolution but doesn't necessarily mean 60fps is guaranteed.
