Madden Current Gen vs. Madden 09 Last Gen

I happened to be looking at some videos today and i came across Madden 09 on XBOX 360 and i have to say...that was a beautiful game...especially the grass texture. Im willing to say that im more impressed looking back at how good that game looked at that time on xbox 360 than i am looking at the graphics on current gen. Now, im not putting them head to head and saying a last gen game looks better than current gen...only that EA made a dynamite looking game with that hardware. It was something about the lighting...and again the texture especially the grass.

Madden 09 looked good, but I didn't like the gameplay. I thought the best last gen Madden's were 10 and 12.

Maybe I'm just weird, but I thought the grass textures in Madden 09 looked awful lol.

Yeah, i was talking specifically visuals. 09 had that rewind crap that you could use like what, once every series??? I just forgot how good it looked and how much i was wanting that grass texture on NCAA at the time.

I think the last thing we need to do is throw any love to early version games for the 360. They took away 60% - 75% of the features people loved (and still haven't added many of them in again). It was Madden 10 before I even bought and played again.

Was 09 the first year they had dynamic skill level? It still also had mini camp and the combine for My Superstar.
