Superstar mode

Hey guys, I was wondering what has been done to the career mode in the game. It's the most common way I play franchise mode these days, getting full games completed in about half the time. There's been a lot added to the owner mode, but I was wondering if there have been any additions to player/superstar mode.

Re: Superstar mode

I'm not sure anything has come out directly related to playing as a player in Franchise mode.

Indirectly related, any changes made to Franchise mode in the general case - be it presentation, streamlining options, XP goal refactoring, and Play The Moments - also apply to the player experience, because it's the exact same mode.

Re: Superstar mode

I think the biggest improvement has been that when it's supper-simmed when your player is not on the field, it doesn't take the opposition 17 seconds to run 3 pass players and 2 run players and score a TD, the clock will actually wind down properly so stats at the end of the game will be realistic.

This was a MAJOR put off for me when playing career mode as a player.

I would say this is a fix more than an improvement.

Ah yes, the super sim wonkiness. Reminds me of back in Madden 10 (and probably more recent titles) where the chance for special teams touchdowns were too high.

I was hoping that, with the more player specific celebrations and mannerisms, you would be able to control how your player behaves: stoic, energized, crazy etc

Re: Superstar mode

Any word of if you can choose to watch plays on the field when your player is not on the field? Always a huge disconnect in the closing moments of a game when all you get to see are bars moving across the screen.
