All madden difficulty equals flawed CPU logic 56-63 yard field goals

As the title says, has anyone else noticed this. I know in older games like ncaa this was present in the hardest difficulty. I just thought it would of been addressed by now. It kills the simulation when the CPU constantly tries 56-63 yard field goals. It kills the feel and strategy of the otherwise really good game.

Personally I like that the cpu kicks long field goals. Older games they'd rarely kick long ones. They'd punt from the 38-39 a lot.

Except they kick them at distances that they never make them.

Just turn down kick power and accuracy. Works for me. They'll still attempt them from 57 or so if they have a high KPW, but miss them.

I've had this happen a couple times and I like that they kick them, but they don't do it at the right times. One game I played the Chargers attempted a 62-yard field goal, and made it, but it was on the first drive of the game and you'd never see that happen. Another time the CPU chose to try a 58 yarder with less than 2-minutes left and missed it which gave me the ball at midfield when if they had just punted the game was basically over.

I don't think his problem is the CPU making long field goals. In older games they would attempt 60 yard field goals no matter who their kicker was and it usually resulted in the user getting great field position.

I haven't really noticed it this year though. When the CPU is in the too close for a punt/too far for a field goal range I've seen them do a variety of things including some trick plays even.

Yeah I had a game where I was down by 7 in the 4th with a few mins left and got a big stop at about my 40 and was ready to field the punt. I was pretty surprised but also happy the cpu was electing to kick a 58 yard FG. I had my fg block return ready hoping to make a good return. To my dismay, I watched the kick sail through the uprights and give me no hope of a final drive to send it to OT. Hey, That's football. I'm not complaining. I love it. Depending on who the kicker is, a 56-63 yard fg isn't really flawed logic. Obviously it's a very long kick, but in the NFL with good weather conditions, many kickers can make that distance.
