CFM Owners - Having enough money to resign players

For those that play Owner mode in CFM, are you having enough funds to be able to sign the players you want during the season? I'm in week 12 and I feel like there's no way I will be able to sign the players I need to atleast stay competitive. Forget about signing expensive stars. I just want to bring back enough depth.

Are you able to resign who you want/need?

Nope. Money is tight! The cpu seems to be doing OK, but I'm having trouble with the depth guys wanting a lot of money.

I also moved some older guys out to contenders and had three first round draft picks - the auto contracts and signing bonuses for three first rd picks basically bankrupted me. The 2017 first rounders got twice what the real 2016 first rounder on my team got. Crazy.

So again... thank goodness we can edit stuff.

I am.

You gotta be careful with your bonus money.

I must have missed where I had an option to handle the rookie signings... it just sort of happened.

Wait so I have the Browns 1st round pick for the 2017 draft. And it will probably be a #1 to #3 overall pick. Are you saying that whoever I draft in that spot is going to get an "auto contract"? So it could basically bankrupt me too?

I always thought the rookie contract money was set aside behind the scenes so we don't get into cap trouble trying to resign regular players.

I know the salary is set aside, but I don't think the bonus money for the rookie is. I don't have access to my ps4 to check to see what the bonus figures were for rookies in my CFM.

You should get some extra cash at the end of the season from shared revenue.
