Madden opening week sale?

Was wondering if anyone had an answer to this. I think last year madden 16 went on sale the week the season opened. It might have been a week long sale it might have been a one day sale, not even sure if it was just an amazon thing or if it was everywhere the game was sold.

Basically my question is am I completely making this up and if not do you think it is something that will happen again next week with madden 17?

I'm itching to buy this game but I'd hate to buy it only for it to go on sale a few days later.

You're not making it up... there was an early sale on Amazon last year, I think for just one day. However, if you have Prime, the price is still currently $48(I think until Tuesday), which is probably right around where the sale would be if there is one.

That makes sense. Was hoping to double down and be able to use the prime discount on the sale lol it was worth a shot.
