Punt coverage in Madden 17

I don't see a lot between the 30-40. I think there needs to be more of those and also like I said when it comes to punt returns I have not seen a single TD on a punt return yet and not even close. I think the closet I have seen is like a return from the 40 to the 30 for like 30 yard return.

I've already returned 3 punts and a couple kicks for TD's and had 2 punts returned against me. I started on all-pro but have been playing on all-madden the last few days.

Punting is messed up. I have had several very short punts by the cpu and I punted a ball from the 8 yard line into the end zone today. That was in the air all the way.

Now that you mention it, I was playing against the Redskins and they had two punts in a row that traveled about ten yards. Really strange.

Anyone seen a difference post patch? I'm still constantly seeing returns of 20 and over

IMO, there is a fix to this but at the expense of completely muting the return game. If you turn Kick Catch Interference off the coverage teams gets to the returner much faster.


I think the biggest problem is the impact of wind. With the wind, punts go 60-70 yards and the coverage gets out kicked. Against the wind, the punts are too short and returns don't really happen. IRL you see a bunch of short returns with a big pop every now and then.
