Re: Practice Squad

my whole issue with the Rookies and 1yr guys only being elgible is the xp is so slow to accrue you cant really build anyone up fast enough to in 2yrs to become good enough for a 53 unless theyre basically already around 68ovr or better. if you draft a 60-62ovr...its a cut even if hes got raw physicality. youll be lucky to make him a 64-66ovr by the time his PS days are done. i think they should add 1 more yr to ps elgibility

Rookies to 3 years would be perfect!

Re: Practice Squad

When I reach Preseason Week 4, can I add players to the Practice Squad without cutting them?

I'd love it if accrued seasons could help open the doors for other things like RFAs and exclusive rights free agents

They don't really need the accrued season concept to do ERFAs or RFAs, to be honest.

They could simplify it to "you're an exclusive rights free agent if your contract expires and you haven't completed your second season, and you are a restricted free agent if your contract expires and you haven't completed your fourth season." Basically just use full seasons in place of accrued seasons, just as practice squad currently approximates it.

That'd probably be the easiest way to do that in a way that everyone can easily understand. Accrued seasons would be cool, but if it gets in the way of getting ERFAs and RFAs added I could do without it.

Yeah I was looking at it from the perspective that if they're going to put in the effort add accrued seasons to determine practice squad eligibility, getting the RFA and ERFA should be on their radar too. I'd gladly take RFAs and ERFAs and leaving practice squad alone though

Yes, but you still have to meet roster requirements prior to that at the first cut. When week 4 comes around you go to the screen to make your roster the right number and select them there for practice squad. Or you can go to free agency and do it, or to the team management page and do it.

But of course they will be unavailable to you during the season unless you sign them onto the 53 man roster.
