Tips for running a zone defense

It's hard to cover the entire field with 7 defenders against 5 receivers, that's just football. But at the point you're hoping to take away reads 1 and 2 and hope that your pass rush is good enough to effect the passer before they get past that.

I know it sounds obvious but mix up your zones on the play call, but also have audibles ready to go if you see a potential hole in your coverage as everyone lines up. If you've only got one side, go ahead and man then up.
