It would be fair if formation subs was the only means to accomplish multiple positions.

In H2H, it wouldn't be possible because they use default rosters.

In Online CFM, there could be a option to allow them or not.

In Offline CFM, who cares. It's my franchise. I should be able to create my own excitement.

But as someone else said. True defensive assignments would need to be implemented also.

Besides, In real life that wouldn't happen because defense would adjust their personel.

Spot on.... size and blocking should have more of an impact, especially negatively.

Running back blocking means nothing in this game

The worst running back in this game is a better blocker than any offensive linemen in history.

It would be very cheesy in online play but would be a nice offline only feature.

I just want to be able to do what the Packers did Thursday night. Put WRs who have HB ability at HB when I am down at the position.

Re: Multiple primary positions for highly skilled players......

Personally, I want complete position flexibility with any player. Let me like up Randall Cobb and Ty Montgomery in the backfield. Let me line up Patrick Peterson at wide receiver. Let me line up Terrelle Pryor at quarterback. Let me line up a safety at linebacker in passing sub packages.

Position designations are somewhat antiquated anyway and honestly only exist for fantasy football purposes. The real-life NFL is becoming extremely specialized and multi-position players are a huge asset for roster construction. Given that observation of how the league is trending in real life, there's no reason why Madden shouldn't follow suit.
