I think he means the moment when the ball is snapped, the AI moves your controlled player for a second. I'm almost positive that's what he means because I cannot stand that either. Say you run a zone defense, and you're controlling a linebacker that is covering the middle of the field. The AI will force that player to step back to cover it. It makes it annoying to chase down runs once you spot them. You have to redirect the player towards the play instead of being able to freely move around. It's especially annoying because changing directions on defense is slow even with faster LBs.
