How to shut down elite WRs

How can you shut down elite WRs? I'm playing a friend soon in online CFM and I really want to shut down Antonio Brown who he has because he pretty much only throws to Antonio Brown. My corner matched up against him is David Amerson who has played well and last time they played, he only let up 2-3 receptions. I pretty much only play zone but both my corners especially Amerson have better man coverage so I want to try man coverage but I'm afraid that won't work. What are tips that I can use to shut down elite receivers? Should I run my normal always zone scheme or run more man etc. I do blitz a decent amount of times as well.

Not trying to sound dickish but if you only gave up 2 to 3 receptions to him last time and that is the only person he is throwing to it seems you already shut him down. I try to match up somebody with the same physical skills and size on elit wide receivers with some success. But, they are elite for a reason.

As a huge fan of Sim sports games, "shutting down" an Elite receiver isn't realistic. Holding him to a handful of catches and no or maybe just 1 TD is a win. I have OBJ in one of my CFMs and I have multiple games over 100 yds and multi TDS, and others with 5-6 catches for 50 or so yds. I wouldn't call that shutdown but held back for sure. If you don't have an elite DB you shouldn't expect to hold him to no catches. So Sherman, Revis, Peterson or no dice basically

YR1 Josh Norman, mix up press/play off man and zone.
You can also highlight the WR and when you play zone they will cover closer to the highlighted player.

See, I'll highlight the top WR/TE when it's a mismatch, if it's Norman playing him, I'll go w/o highlighting them.

only 2 or 3 catches? consider your goal achieved.

Play zone, and assign a blitzing safety or nickel DB to man Brown up inside the zone so that he's always bracketed on passing downs.

I have had success spotlighting specific receivers (y button, a button , receiver to spotlight button on the Xbox)
