How do you put a person on IR and make him eligible to return?

I don't think that feature works in Madden 17. I've never been able to get it to work anyway. I know in Madden 16 it worked okay.

That sucks, I only ask because I see when you check injuries it said IR then return was on there

Put them on IR, in about 8 weeks they should be eligible to return. Can only return one player per season.

You don't designate someone for return. Once injury time is over if they are eligible you can bring one back as previously mentioned. I did that for Bridgewater for the Vikings this year. There just isn't a designation option.
