The franchise mode of Madden 17/18 is LEAGUES behind what Madden 05 offered. It's not even close. If you could combine the two you would have the perfect game.

I think if they rolled it in with say Madden 19 since that would be the 30th anniversary of the game then I would buy it for sure.

If we are talking about gameplay, madden 2005 is not even close to what we have now, especially animations. Are current gen animations on par with graphics? No and I think thats the issue. When you have photorealistic graphics like we do now, you expect human-like animations. Clearly that's something that is extremely hard to do and at times our expectations are almost impossible to achieve. Madden's animations have definitely been improving, not like most want but I believe better than people give the game credit.

Animations, tackling, passing, run game, blocking, etc etc is better than anything in Madden 05.

Game modes, franchise.. thats a different story.

Have it for PC.

It's the second best version of the series, IMO.

I'd buy it to encourage EA to release the other PS2 versions on the new consoles.
