Is playing MUT a vote against Franchise?

I am not willing to give up my addiction to NFL football or madden. I know I am weak. Been playing since PS2 days. BUT, maybe I can vote "NO"another way?
Because I am so unhappy with the direction Madden is going I have decided to NEVER play MUT or watch the Long shot 'story" at least until CFM is brought into the present and is worthy of my time. What about you guys?

No. Playing MUT is getting the most bang for your buck as you can from Madden. You pay for the entire game, not the mode you choose.

Regardless, would the vote really matter? Madden devs certainly aren't counting

Re: Is playing MUT a vote against Franchise?

I think it's tough, man. In terms of the telemetry data that they receive, I'm not sure how longshot will play out. Most people will play this once to see what it is. I don't think ea will say, 'well, that's the most popular mode!' Now, of it got played 10-20 times per account, that might be something for them to look at. As long as u rock solid hours in CFM, u should be alright.

I played MUT last year for the first time. It was ok, but honestly, if I don't play it at all this year, I wouldn't be surprised. But, if I get bored, I might play it. And, I hate to say it, but I think out of pure curiosity, I will have to play that stupid longshot thing. Lol

Note, this is the first year I'm going to wait to buy used. That's how I'm 'sticking it to them.'

I never played Mut. Today I created a team and spend my whole day playing some challenges. I don't see problem on MUT, the problem is strictly on devs always been lacking time, programmers, or anything that cause CFM to wait.. Maybe the fault is from EA, Tiburon.. Maybe the devs need more resources.

Re: Is playing MUT a vote against Franchise?

No!

There will be a few people here who say that people playing mut are preventing the Devs from focusing on other modes.

They are very wrong. First playing MUT is a nice change from CFM. Second MUT has a community manager and developer who work strictly on MUT and doesn't hold any other modes back.

It's a fun mode and has a lot more strategy than I originally expected but playing mut doesn't mean you can't enjoy CFM too.

Honestly, I am in the same boat as the OP.

YOu always hear EA talk numbers, data, and statistics and how ___ amount of people play CFM for this long and blah blah blah.

If that is the case, I refuse to give EA those numbers for any mode other than franchise.

Re: Is playing MUT a vote against Franchise?

Absolutely not. Nor should EA see it that way. They aren't giving folks an attractive choice for Franchise, and if they can't understand that now, they probably never will. So I wouldn't worry about where you play affecting other areas of the game.
