M18 PreOrder Through Amazon

I pre-ordered Digital M18 GOAT Ed through Amazon last week. It noted that I would receive an email when it would be available on the 22nd at 9:00 PST.

Is that when I get the code to download and have to wait before I can play? Shouldn't I get the code and be able to pre download before the 22nd as in previous years?

Chatted with Amazon and they were not help as usual.

Don't quote me as I'm far from an expert in pre-download. But I believe you only get pre-download when you order through Playstation. Could totally be wrong as it took me over an hour to figure out how to pre-download TGC2

This.

Amazon will literally send you the code when the game is released. You aren't charged until that point either.

Buying from the console store, you are charged immediately and the game will start downloading. If it's in the pre-load available window.

That is the downfall with Amazon digital preorders.

I called to cancel the order with Amazon. He told me that I had been declined and not been charged. I knew I wasn't charged, that's why I wanted to cancel the order. I was staring at the invoice of my accepted payment. He couldn't tell me why it was "declined".

Oh well, off to the PSN store......

If you pre-order thru M17 for 18 you get like 10% loyalty discount as well (go thru M17 and it directs you to the PS Store). Not sure if the deal is still valid I did it a few months ago for the GOAT Edition.
