It had been defined as 7 yards, but now more modern its between 5-7 and alot are only 5 yards as you found out by researching screenshots. Depends on down and distance and QB at times on how far the distance is.

I've read it in football strategy books, the one by Pat Kirwan mentions it off the top of my head.
