What you need to shoot for is the correct number of plays per game to get the correct stats. I use 15 minute quarters with accelerated clock at 14. Though you could go as high as accelerated clock at 20. If you want to use a shorter clock, I am told by several people here that 9 minutes and no accelerated clock gets you the correct number of plays.

Last year the sim engine had about 135 plays per game. So figure 67 per team. That is an average of course, so some games will be closer to 120 and some 140ish. To properly calculate the number of plays use the following: Pass attempts + sacks allowed + rushing attempts. DO NOT include penalties, kickoffs, punts, field goals or extra points.

Hope that helps

Yup, I appreciate it...I will try going as high as 8 with no accelerated clock. Anything over that is pushing it for me.

Yes, 9 minutes with no acc clock has worked for me for years. There IS a catch to using no acc clock though, you have to snap the ball at the same general cadence as the CPU does. If you always drain the playclock on offense, then Time of Possession will be unevenly distributed.

I'm hoping there is no sim stats that will need to be patched.

Re: Simulated stats?

I minor quibble probably, but I really hate when I sort the QB passer rating stats to see where my guy ranks for the year and it includes everyone in the league who threw at least one pass! In the NFL there is a threshold of pass attempts before you're included to avoid this, but Madden just throws everyone in. I'll have a 112 passer rating for a season and will be ranked 14th, lol.

Re: Simulated stats?

I havent played a franchise in the last 2 maddens because the sim rushing stats are so bad to me. Had a friend sim and look at them real quick and they are no better. It may not be an issue to some but I just cant play it. First sim there were 4 teams with 30+ rushing TD with the Eagles having the most with 35. 2nd sim there were 2 teams with 30+. Seahwaks had the most with 32. And the AVG was like 21 per team with the lowest being 12.
