Re: How I choose my CFM team
This is something I struggle with every year....
Do I choose a low level rebuilding team and try to make them a contender?
Do I choose my favorite team and play with them?
Do I find a team in the middle and see what happens?
Do I take a favorite and win a Super Bowl early?
I usually end up going with a low level team with a rebuild, but if I play well and have success early, it doesn't feel right.
But I also don't want to feel cheap and roll to a Super Bowl year 1 with a strong team. I want it to feel earned....
I'm thinking Detroit this year, but I just don't know.
Here's where I have them grouped:
Rebuild (in order of need): Jets, 49ers, Browns, Chargers, Bears, Rams
Middle of the road (could go either way, no particular order): Cardinals, Saints, Bucs, Vikings, Lions, Eagles, Redskins, Broncos, Colts, Titans, Ravens, Bills, Dolphins
Ready to win now: Patriots, Steelers, Bengals (biased, I know), Texans, Chiefs, Raiders, Cowboys, Packers, Falcons, Seahawks
I put the Bengals in the top because 1) their my fav team, 2) I think that if the D holds up they'll be in the mix this year, and 3) I could take them, and probably close my eyes and go 15-1 or 16-0 and breeze into the Super Bowl. A.J., Eifert, and John Ross would tear it up, along with Joe Mixon/Gio/Jeremy Hill.....
Actually.... I just talked myself into it. I'm rolling with Cincy, lol. I've haven't used my fav team as my franchise in forever. With the injuries being different this year, it may be a challenge testing their depth....
So yeah, that's how I chose my team.... lol.
