Can't customize specialty playbooks this year?

Create plays is the way to go for me. It worked in HC09, and im talking defence here. I also want to create custom formations like single back spread with no TE. 2-5-4 on defence for example. When the 9ers had Willis, Bowman et al we had 2 decent oline, 5 good + lbers and an insipid secondary. why not play to strenght. they keep decreasing defensive playbooks, there used t0 be 3-3-5 3 man under, 3-4 odd cover 2 spy etc. i have to keep switching players and assignments to get what i want and i play coach mode.
