I played a little bit of Madden 18 yesterday, and when looking at some replays, I was a little shocked to see that the QB still doesn't properly grip the football. He just holds his hands kinda close and the ball floats there. With the switch to Frostbite making everything else look great in terms of texture and lighting, this sticks out even more than usual.
I also just watched at the
Aaron Rodgers Madden Evolution video posted, and noticed that they actually had it right in Madden 15, but went back to the awkward floating ball in 16 and beyond.
How is it possible that they've gone backwards on that? Weird looking running and throwing animations aside, I would have hoped that by 2017 we would be far enough along to have the players actually interact with the ball on the field.
