Returning kicks

Ok, so, can ANYONE give me ANY tips on how to return punts or kicks? I have played probably 10 full games and never returned one past the 30. I try to follow my blocks, but it's as if gunners are completely unblockable. My guy just lets them go by.

No matter what move I make - juke, spin, whatever - they tackle me instantly and flawlessly.

Re: Returning kicks

Madden 17 made it tougher to return punts and kicks. My advice is to look for the gaps in the middle, don't bother with stick moves, and just weave. Helps if you have a guy with 90+ speed and acceleration.

Re: Returning kicks

I typically don't have much luck with returns either. I put in someone with high speed and acceleration and see how far I can get weaving.

Try moving the camera out to as wide as possible. You will get a better view of the field and find those seams. I've run a few back this year.

Don't be afraid to cross the field, too.

One perfectly timed spin/juke opens up a massive hole, otherwise just follow your blocks, weave in and out of incoming defenders. Also as mentioned above, don't be afraid for a cross field play.

I'm 16 weeks in to my CFM (All Madden), I've returned 2 KR and 1 PR with Taylor Gabriel so far.

Re: Returning kicks

I typically weave toward the closest sideline to draw the far side defenders to the middle. Then I cut toward the middle and far sideline. Sometimes you gotta go back a little to avoid the defenders. Need a fast returner but you can occasionally can turn the corner and bust one open.

The returner matters. It matters more than many care for.

I'm pretty sure the return attribute affects gameplay and not just AI depth charts.

Agreed, I've tried throwing in guys with ridiculous speed/agil/accel and terrible return attributes and I've had virtually no success. (Their BCV, AWR sucked too)
