Re: CFM Starting point idea
Head Coach 09 had this feature, you could start at the 2008 Draft. Was nice because it felt like you were really taking over the team, which you don't get in Madden.
My ''perfect'' starting point feature would be to roll back as far as possible, either Free Agency or Draft, and have the game recreate what happened up until the point I started.
For example, you start your CFM after Week 5 and decide to start at the Draft. You choose the Bears. You decide to not trade up and you draft Deshaun Watson instead of Trubisky. To keep the draft in line perhaps the Texans take Trubisky. You take Kareem Hunt later in the draft.
All moves/transactions are mimic'd by the CPU teams, CPU team players progress up until Week 5 to match the roster at that point. All stats are the same, minus games in which you played in and changed the outcomes. Players on the User's team would progress based on how they'd play for you, so maybe Watson and Hunt will take longer to reach Week 5 ratings if you struggled.
This would require dropping the silly XP system (yes please) and way more work then EA would ever put in. But one can dream.
